Our Happy Clients
Repair Steps
We don’t keep our industry expertise a secret. It’s important for all of us to educate ourselves on what needs to be done before an unexpected water damage disaster strikes.
Water Extraction
Getting the water out is the critical first step. It only takes 24 hours for clean water to start creating mold spores. Abbotts uses the lastest in water extraction equipment to accelerate the extraction process.
Dehumidification & Damage Assessment
Once any standing water is removed, the dehumidificaion (dry-out) phase begins. As with the extraction phase, time is not on your side. The use of moisture reading sensors is critical. Even though a wall or floor can feel dry to the touch, there can be hgih levels of moisture trapped in the walls and the flooring materials. Meters provide a quick and accurate reading the moisture levels, and are non-evasive. As with step 1, we are in a fight against the production of mold spores.
While the dry-out phase is in process, its time to evaluate the damage. Simply drying out the areas out maybe all that is required, should the damage be more significant carpeting and drywall may need to be removed. Neither of these products respond well to moisture. Whatever the level of damage, you should be kept informed of the assessment and approve any demolition, before it begins.
Restoration
With the dry-out complete, the next phase to is to get the effected areas restored as quickly as possible. Abbotts’ team of professionals will work with closely with you and your insurance company to retore your property.

“I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with the work that was completed at my home. You did a fantastic job. I felt like you really cared to educate me on what would happen and when. The workers were quiet and worked very hard. Finding a team like yours isn’t easy and I am happy to recommend Abbott’s.”
“Amazing folks did a fast, through job when our basement was damaged due to flooding, first rate operation.
